Greetings, everyone!
It’s hard to believe it’s been such a long time since I’ve done anything with this site or any of my stories, for that matter. It’s bee a very busy year for me with a lot of personal, real life things taking up much of my time. A lot of great things happened over the past year but there’s also been quite a bit of turbulence. I won’t go into the entire ins and outs of it all but suffice it to say, much has happened to keep me away from my writing.
So, let’s get into the update, shall we? I’m sure you all would like to know what my plans for the site and my stories are.
After much debate with myself I’ve decided to transfer my story “Forever in Time” from its Blogger blog to this blog. I’d been thinking of dong a transfer in the past and was on the fence about it. What pushed me to this decision was yet another decision I made. I want “Forever in Time” to be my magnum opus, at least in the world of Sims stories. I’ve come to the conclusion that there are some things I want to “fix” and need to rework. There are Sims I no longer have access to which would make their lack of appearance a bit awkward in certain story moments I have planned. Because of this, family histories need to be rewritten, certain events need to be adjusted accordingly, and some continuity errors need to be fixed. I’m confident and optimistic that these changes will make the story better.
This will affect the story proper of “Forever in Time” as well as Lenora’s Bachelorette Challenge. Jonas’s Bachelor Challenge will just be transferred here, probably without muc reworking. I will make headings accordingly and pages will be made for easy navigation to chapters.
These changes will also affect a few chapters in “Another World” and “As Tears Go By.” I’ll massage what needs massaging but these won’t require as much reworking. I’ll be putting a notice up on the original “Forever in Time” blog in accordance with this post. “Another World” and “As Tears Go By” could possibly move to WordPress in the future but no final decision have been made about that yet.
You can also be on the lookout for more short stories and other projects appearing on this blog.
I want to thank all my followers and readers. I still hope I have some folks hanging in here with me, as I appreciate each and every one of you.
Hey, welcome back! 🙂

It’s funny. I was actually thinking about you the other day. And now here you are. 🙂
I know all too well how life can get turbulent at times. But I am so happy to see you well. And I look forward to seeing Forever in Time once again!!

Isn’t it funny how these things happen? I wondered if anyone remembered me after all this time so I’m glad you thought of me. 🙂 A lot of nice things have happened but like i said, there was also the turbulence. We lot our pet dog, Turbo, to nasal cancer in December as well. My old guide dog, Caleb, retired, and I got a new Golden boy named Alexander Graham Bell. Caleb turned 11 in February and he and Ales are great chums. The family took a bit of a blow a couple month back but we’re recovering from that. Ups and downs but that’s how life is anyway,
Forever in Time will definitely be back and will be right here on this blog. Many of the same elements will remain but I hope you enjoy the reworked chapters. 🙂

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. 😦 But I am glad that your new dog is getting along well with the older one.
And I have no doubt that I will enjoy the reworked chapters.

That’s the only bad part about pets. They don’t live as long as we do and we miss them terribly when they have to go. We’ve lost quite a few dogs over the years but it never gets easier. Having Alex and Caleb made it easier though so at least we didn’t have to come back to en empty house when Turbo was no longer there. It’s going to be a big project reworking chapters but in the end, it’ll be worth it. I think I’ll be a lot happier with it, which hopefully will carry on down to the readers. 🙂

Something tells me that I will! ^_^ I was thinking of starting with Lenora’s story as well as Forever in Time – Is there another story that comes first? Because if I start reading a blog, I have to get caught up completely, lol! 😀

Awesome! I always look forward to a new reader. Yeah, I would read Lenora‘s bachelorette challenge first or you can do that along with Forever in Time. Chronologically, her bachelorette challenge comes first because it lays out all of her backstory plus gives you events that happened before the main story. There are a series of standalone short stories that happen at different points in time which you can read if you were interested. On another blog, SimLit Legacy Stories, which you can go to from the top menu on the blog, I have a spinoff story. That happens concurrently with Forever in Time. But if you just want to concern yourself with this blog for now, definitely read her bachelorette challenge first or alongside Forever in a Time. 😊

Awesome! Just so you know, it looks like you are on the old site. You must’ve gone to Sweetnightingale.wordpress.com. I’ve migrated over, so what you would need to do is go to sweetnightingale.com (omit WordPress from the URL), otherwise you are going to miss a bunch of stuff plus new posts.

Ah, yes – I see it now! 🙂 Do I need to follow that blog or is it done automatically since I am already following the wordpress one? (sorry for the excessive questions, I’m a total noob when it comes to following sites outside of wordpress – I guess that was pretty specific, lol!)

Oh, don’t worry about the questions. I’m always glad to help. Yeah, you will need to follow the new blog because it treats it as an entirely different site. I know it can get confusing, and it would be nice if they made a way to simplify things. LOL! But yeah, definitely follow the new site otherwise you’ll miss everything.

It turns out I’m already following you – I have no idea how I ended up in your old blog though, lol!
Thank you for all your help anyway 😀 I am finally ready to start reading! ^_^

Strange how that happened, but now, it’s great that we got you in the right place. You’re very welcome for the help. 😊

Sorry for spamming your page again! But I am back to say that I have already commented on the three first chapters of Lenora’s backstory but I think they might have ended in spam (at least I hope that’s the case and not being eaten by wp)
I’m loving the story by the way! 🙂

Oh, no worries about that! Yeah, because this is treated as a new site, the comments were going in the moderation thing. I went ahead and approve them all, so you should be good to go from now on. 😊
I’m so glad you are loving the story so far. That makes me feel so happy.
